Acid Forming Foods Are Like Poison For The Body

Acid forming foods are synonymous with poison. Both will literally kill you. All diseases thrive in an acidic environment and these foods help generate this acidic environment. Not only does or body's immune system get overwhelmed with various microorganisms attacking it our vital organs also find it hard to carry out their general body functions.

Everything we eat can be divided into three main categories namely: neutral, alkaline forming, and those which help generate acid. Alkaline forming foods leave an alkaline ash in our body and help generate an alkaline ph. On the other hand the those that are acid forming tilt the ph levels to the acidic side. Since all the activities carried out by the body are acidic in nature they need an alkaline environment to continue functioning. Cells need to take in oxygen and nutrients and expel toxins. If an acidic environment surrounds them they will not be able to do so and thus at last get sick. Whatever we consume which helps generate more acid in our bodies than we need is seriously injurious to health.

Animal flesh is very high on the acid forming foods chart. All meats like beef, lamb, chicken, fish, and oysters leave an acid ash in the body. They cause great damage to the body. No more than 20 % of our consumption should consist of acid forming foods. The ideal alkaline acid ratio is 80 to 20 and this should be reflected in all that we eat.

Animal fats as well as dairy derived fats will also help make acid inside us. Even vegetable oil is a culprit. One should stick to olive oil when seeing for a cooking medium. Even though olives do help make acid, their oil does not. Corn, lentils and winter squash are the only vegetables that are acid forming foods. The others are all alkaline foods. Cooked spinach is also in this category. Fruits are safe and alkaline, except for cranberries, blueberries and currants.

Wheat, barely, kamut, bread, corn, barn wheat, macaroni, rice, noodles these are all risky and should form no more than 20% of our total intake. Dairy products like cheese, butter, ice cream, ice milk, are also all acid forming foods and are not good for your health. Even milk as such should be avoided and soy milk should be used instead of natural milk.

Tahini, walnuts, cashew nuts, peanuts and pecans are all likely to cause acid and harm to the body. Almonds though are not acidic and one should try and join them in their diet plan. Sugar, corn syrup and carob are also all part of the problem and stevia should be used as a sweetener instead.

Alcohols all help to acidify the body and so do beverages like coffee and tea. Cocoa, pepper and cold drinks are extremely dangerous. Soda so upsets the acid/alkaline balance, it takes about 32 glasses of water to equilibrium out one glass of soda. Vinegar is also a part of the problem and one should fully avoid it. All processed foods are acid forming and one should try and consume fresh ingredients which are washed well and also not cooked too much. Cooking destroys nutrients and so raw vegetables and fruits should be favorite over those which have been cooked.

Acid forming foods will take to your grave, so wake up and convert the way you eat right away.
